UMBC’s senior forward Peter Caringi picked up both the Scoring Champion and Golden Boot awards in addition to his all-PDL and Eastern Conference team selections, tallying 16 goals and 37 points in 12 games for the Baltimore Bohemians.

Duke goalkeeper Chad Bush, who led the league with a .104 goals against average while earning a clean sheet in 9 out of 10 games for the Ottawa Fury was an All-PDL and Eastern Conference selection.

Bush and Caringi are joined on the All-PDL team by fellow college stars Damion Lowe, a defender for Hartford, his Reading United AC teammate and La Salle midfielder Jason Plumhoff, Butler defender Brandon Fricke (Des Moines Menace), Marquette defender Axel Sjoberg (Thunder Bay Chili) and Austin Aztex forward Krystopher Tyrpak, a Houston Baptist senior.

Thirteen other college players were among the 44 players that made four all-conference teams.

Marquette, Butler and Houston Baptist led the way each with a pair of players on the all-conference elevens. Sjoberg and Marquette teammate Bryan Ciesiulka (Chicago Fire) made the Central Conference best XI along with Fricke and Butler teammate Zach Steinberger (Michigan Bucks) while Oklahoma Baptist University’s Walter Kromholz (Houston Dutch Lions) joined Tyrpak on the Southern Conference squad.

Three of the 20 active college players compete in the NAIA and one plays for a Division II team.
