U.S. U19 roster for Spain tournament has 11 college commits

Brad Friedel’s roster for the U.S. U19’s upcoming tournament in Spain includes one early enrollee and 10 other players who have committed to play college soccer.

RSL Arizona defender Tanner Dieterich has already enrolled at Clemson ahead of his freshman season. The ACC is also represented by North Carolina commits Auston Trusty (Defender, Philadelphia Union) and Djordje Mihailovic (Midfielder, Chicago Fire), Duke commit William Pulisic (Goalkeeper, Richmond United) and Virginia commit Terrell Lowe (Midfielder, Portland Timbers).

UCLA is the only other team with more than one commit on the roster in goalkeeper Kevin Silva (PDA) and defender Reggie Cannon (FC Dallas).

Grand Canyon-bound defender Hector Montavio (FC Dallas), George Mason-bound defender Grant Robinson (DC United), Loyola Maryland-bound forward Brian Saramago (New York Red Bulls) and New Mexico commit Ethan Zuback (Forward, LA Galaxy) round out the college commits.

The U19 roster includes a total of 23 players for the Copa de Athletico tournament being held in Canary Islands, Spain January 27-February 6.
