U.S. Development Academy championship features future collegians

The U.S. Development Academy championships begin tonight for a host of players who will be playing in college soccer this fall.

Twenty-seven players on the four teams – FC Dallas, PDA, Vancouver Whitecaps and Nomads SC – have signed on with Division 1 programs. SMU leads the way with three players on their local FC Dallas U18 team – Edwin Munjoma, Phillip P onder and Toshiki Yasada while Virginia, Loyola Maryland, Monmouth and Oregon State each have two future players.

The two games will be streamed online on the U.S. Soccer YouTube channel beginning with PDA and Vancouver Whitecaps at 9 p.m. eastern and FC Dallas and Nomads at 11:30 p.m. eastern time. The final will be streamed at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
