Stetson defender Jeppe Moe signs with Stabæk

Stetson sophomore left back Jeppe Moe has left the program to sign a professional contract with Stabæk FC in Norway.

The 20-year-old Bekkestua, Norway native appeared in 31 games in two seasons with the Hatters, scoring two goals, assisting on five others and earning all-freshman honors in the Atlantic Sun Conference his first year.

Stabæk qualified for the Europa League after finishing third in the Norwegian first division last season. Former U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley managed the club in last season and former college players Cole Grossman (Duke) and Emil Ekblom (Syracuse) are currently on the roster.

Moe was offered a contract after training with the club over winter break.

“It’s something I’ve dreamed about for a long time,” he told the club’s website. “To do it now, I am both proud and happy. For me it is important to get a good pre-season now, where I’m working hard and getting to show the coaches I’m good enough.”
