Oregon State commit signs homegrown deal with Dynamo

Homegrowns

Houston Dynamo Academy midfielder Christian Lucatero will not be joining Oregon State for his freshman season, opting instead to sign a homegrown player contract with the Houston Dynamo.

Lucatero became the seventh player from the Dynamo Academy to sign with the first team with the announcement of his signing on Tuesday. He’ll train with the team for the remainder of the season before officially joining the Dynamo in January 2016.

The Pasadena, Texas, native scored 41 goals in 54 games with the Academy. He joined the U-15 team in 2010. He’s been part of camps with the U.S. and Mexico U-18 teams, making a trip with the U.S. team to Bosnia and Herzegovina in April.
