No. 13 Coastal Carolina tops No. 22 Hofstra; UCLA dominates Cal
Bryce Follensbee scored with seven minutes left to lift 13th-ranked Coastal Carolina to a 2-1 victory over No. 22 Hofstra on Monday night.
Hofstra had tied the match five minutes earlier on a goal from Danny Elliot that canceled out Darius Strambler 36th minute opener. The Chants improved to 10-1-1 with the win while the Pride fell to 10-5.
UCLA exploded for six goals in a break-out 6-0 win over Cal on Monday. Abu Danladi led the way with goals four minutes apart in the first half after defender Javan Torre opened the scoring in the 16th minute and the Bruins scored three more goals in the second half in a span of three minutes.
Jackson Yueill, Seyi Adekoya and Felix Vobejda each had a goal and an assist in the Bruins’ first six-goal margin in a game since 2002.
No. 23 NC State beats App State; Francis Athuahene leads Michigan to victory

Freshman phenom Francis Atuahene scored his 10th goal of the season in the 51st minute and the Wolverine defense made it hold up in a 1-0 win over Valparaiso.
Atuahene, a Accra, Ghana native, has the second most goals for a freshman this year behind SC Upstate’s Gordon Wild, who leads the nation with 14 goals.
