Former UCLA assistant Nick Carlin-Voigt has been named head coach at Portland.

Carlin-Voigt was an assistant at UCLA for four years after serving on the staff at George Mason from 2007-2012 and the DC United Academy from 2007-2010.

The former All-American goalkeeper at Division III Kalamazoo College takes over for Bill Irwin, who has been with the program for nearly 30 years. Irwin stepped down as coach of the Pilots in November after 13 seasons as the head coach and 29 years on the staff.
