NC State commit signs Academy contract with Swope Park Rangers

NC State commit Will Little will play in the USL this season as an amateur.

The midfielder is one of three players from the Sporting Kansas City Academy that will play for Swope Park Rangers this season.

Little verbally committed to the ACC program last summer, but told the Johnson City Press in August that he would put college on hold if he is offered a professional contract.

Little hasn’t yet been announced as an NC State signing. NC State has announced five newcomers for the fall season.

USL allows teams to sign up to five Academy players to amateur contracts prior to playing college soccer provided they are under age 21 when the season starts. Swope Park Rangers also signed defender Ezra Armstrong and goalkeeper Steven Tekesky from the SKC Academy. Armstrong and Tekesky have not made college commitments.
