Friendlies

Florida Gulf Coast will be hosting Major League Soccer club New York City FC for their first week of training camp January 22-February 1.

The camp will include a friendly between the Eagles and the second-year MLS club on January 31, at 5:30 p.m.

“I know our guys are extremely excited about having the opportunity to have some of the best players in the world train on our pitch and then play against them,” head coach Bob Butehorn, who founded the program in 2007, said in a news release. “It’s a terrific opportunity for fans in the area to see top-tier soccer, and I’m hopeful they’ll take advantage of having such world-class talent so close.”
