Duke’s Ebobisse shines in Dallas Cup

International

Duke rising junior Jeremy Ebobisse was talked about last season as a potential Generation adidas target for MLS and while he ended up not being part of the 2016 class the talk for him as a target for next year’s draft should get louder after his performance with the U.S. U20 team at the Dallas Cup.

The U.S. team’s campaign ended in disappointment with a 3-3 draw against TSG Hoffenheim 1899 but the Bethesda, Maryland native did everything he could to get his team a result. He got an assist on New Mexico defender Aaron Herrera’s 37th minute equalizer and then put the U.S. up with a goal of his own in the 54th minute.

The goal was his second of the tournament after scoring the winner in the 31st minute to beat CF Monterrey Rayados in the first game of the tournament.
