2016 Generation adidas class announced

Georgetown junior defender Joshua Yaro, Wake Forest freshman midfielder Jack Harrison, Clemson junior goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell, Syracuse sophomore midfielder Julian Buescher and Akron sophomore midfielder Richie Laryea were officially announced as members of the 2016 MLS Generation adidas class on Thursday.

The signings signify that all five standout underclassmen will forgo college eligibility and enter Major League Soccer as part of the league’s upcoming SuperDraft.

Yaro and Harrison are expected to be the top two picks of the draft. North Carolina junior midfielder Omar Holness is also still expected to be part of the class while the absence of Creighton junior forward Fabian Herbers and UCLA sophomore forward Abu Danladi means they are either returning to school or pursuing offers abroad.
